Back!

I'm back! To the blog that is. Every time I think to myself," I should write a blog post or at least a monthly recap" and then the next month happens and well, here we are. I know my grammar isn't perfect or my way of writing but that's ok. I'm just going to write as I would speak.

So thank you for joining me today here on Hollaween. Yes hollaaa.

Are you a Halloween person? I'm definitely a Hocus Pocus person which sad to admit I haven't watched it yet! I'll add it to my to-do list for today.

I feel like I have so much to say and don't know where to begin. I want to tell you guys about last week at the Oligo show. I had shared a post about it but that was only a tiny tiny bit. So this is how it happened...

I've been following Kelly for a few years now for her amazing work of free hand painting. (Since that is my jam.) Kelly lives in the Cayman Islands, which naturally when I found her salon I also googled the cost of living over there (hehehe) Then one day this month she posted that she needed models for a NJ class. I jumped on the chance to have my hair done by Kelly and thought it would be amazing to learn her technique. After we spoke, I still couldn't believe this was really going to happen. I didn't want to get too excited in case it would fall through. But luck was on my side and the weekend came. I was beyond grateful to meet Kelly and she gave me a one on one tutorial as she did her first model. The whole experience was so surreal. She didn't have to do that for me but she knew that I am a hairstylist and I'm just so grateful to her.

The second day was at the hotel with the best view of the city. There were a lot of hairdressers attending the show and its always great to be at one of these shows because you gain SO much motivation out of it. Everything went really well and my hair looked amazing!
